50005 Brings Success to Bishop Martin
Having their new kit seems to have brought luck to Bishop Martin Primary School football teams. Both the boys and girls teams reached the finals of the Liverpool cup. The boys lost in the final on a wet, muddy Monday when two players were absent, too ill to play. The girls went right to the wire, ending up losing in extra time.
Indoors has been equally successful with the boys placing third in the 5-a-side league, and the girls again raising the tension in their tournament final by going through extra time, a penalty shootout and finally going down on sudden death penalty shots.
The outdoor season begins again in March and we are looking forward to playing in the 7-a-side league and in the annual year 3/4 tournament.
